***HONOR MISSION***
Harold “Bud” C. Dresslaer, Jr, 77, USN, 1963-1969 Springfield, MO Friday 2 April 21
The family of USN Veteran, E6 Bud Dresslaer has honored the Warriors’ Watch Riders with a request for a flag line, a final salute and escort to our hero’s final resting place at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery (MVC) where the family will have a private interment. Due to Covid restrictions, the family has chosen to have full military honors rendered at the Funeral Home prior to our escort. The Patriot Guard Riders and others are encouraged to participate as well.
Hero Dresslaer proudly and honorably served in the USN from 1963-1969 with the majority of his time spent aboard the USS Oak Ridge (ARDM 1) which was an unpowered 536 ft long and over 80 ft wide floating dry dock used to service Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarines.
After our hero’s service he went to work and retired from Litton Industries as an electrician. He loved fishing, wood working and gardening. Hero Dresslaer was a former Scout Master in Marshfield, MO and as an elder in his church.
Hero Dresslaer is survived by his three sons, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother and four sisters and a host of family and friends.
