Warriors' Watch has been requested to render final honors for this Marine veteran. Please bring 3x5 flags and observe Honor Mission etiquette.

Rally Point: Washington's Crossing, 830 Highland Avenue, Newtown Pa.,
Rally Time: 1:30pm
Committal Shelter Service: 2:00 pm


Warriors' Watch has also been invited to participate in the Legion Riders escort to WCNC, Legion Riders will handle all coordination of escort, Warriors Watch, if present, will follow lead of Legion RC.

John D. Hunsberger of Sellersville Boro, died suddenly on Saturday March 27, 2021 at his home. He was 64.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, was the beloved husband of Denise M. Conway for the past 16 years. Son of the late Edwin S. and Betty Lou Goll Hunsberger and brother of the late Sherry Hunsberger.

Jay as he was known to family and friends was a lifelong resident of Bucks County and graduate of Neshaminy High School, class of 1975 he was a parishioner of St. Jude Parish, Chalfont.

Jay was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served for 5 years. He has worked for 33 years for United Parcel Service, starting out as a regular package driver for 8 years, then he switched to over the road driving which he had done for the past 25 years.

Jay was very athletic, he enjoyed all sports, working out regularly at the gym and playing hand ball. On rainy days he would head off the shooting range to keep up his skills. A motorcycle enthusiast, he had 3 cycles, 2 BMW ‘s and his prized Harley Davidson Road King. He was a member of the American Legion Nase/Kraft Post # 255 and the American Legion Riders he was also a member of the Perkasie Owls Club # 1224.

Jay was a man’s man, he gave his time and talents to those less fortunate, he supported his Military buddies and offered his support too by riding his motorcycle on the Escort Team for fallen service men and women.

Jay is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years Denise M. Conway, his children; Ann Marie Hunsberger, Avery Villanova and her husband David, Andrea Serrano, Luke Hunsberger and Felicia Renna, step father of Joseph Revotskie and his wife Hydie, Mark Revotskie and Lucas Hoisington. Denise and Jay have been blessed with many children, and Ashley and her husband Josh and their 3 children, Zane, Shayla and Waverly have been a huge part of Denise and Jay’s life. Also surviving is Jay’s brother, Lee Hunsberger and his wife Donna of Levittown and a sister Annie Houser. He is the proud grandfather of; Payton, Sabre, Zavier, Teya, Destin, Dorothy and Alice and Great grandfather of Traden.

Jay’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday April 7, 2021 for 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am at St. Jude Church 321 W Butler Ave. Chalfont. Interment with Military Honors will take place on Friday April 9, 20201 at 2:00pm at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Drive Newtown. Procession will form at 1:45pm at the Cemetery Administration Bldg.

In Lieu of flowers Jay’s family would like contributions in his memory may be made to pawoundedwarriors.org.
