RUCK MARCH 2021 IS COMING - WATCH FOR DETAILS SATURDAY, MAY 22 WILL COUNTY FAIR GROUNDS Adopt a Soldier would like to INVITE YOU to join us once again in the fight against Veteran/Military Suicide. 2020 was a difficult year for so many, including nonprofit organizations. We, at AAS, have kept working throughout the year. Our missions, unfortunately only increased with the lockdowns, quarantine, and other COVID induced events. We are proud to say that we were able to survive with little to no fundraising events in 2020 as we knew that it was a difficult time for all Americans and small businesses. Our 6th annual Ruck March is expected to be the best one yet, with new ideas being implemented and more community involvement than ever before! We are excited to announce that Ruck March 2021 will be an all-day event being held at the Will County Fairgrounds. Participants will walk off their miles on a predetermined path around the park and Will County Fairgrounds, thus giving the opportunity for anyone to join the battle. Participants will be able to walk as many miles as they would like for pledges, that they will be getting for each mile they complete. Some of our original 12 veterans, who walked our first Ruck March 2016, will be taking it to the streets to walk a 22k, with a stop a the veterans home to see our heroes. We may have a few openings for a veterans that are physically able and would like to join them. If you’re interested please contact militarymom392 at ATT.NET. We are excited to be able to organize a safe Ruck March for everyone who would like to join the battle against veteran/military suicide. We believe these changes eliminate any chance of being shut down for any reason, regardless of COVID! Your support is crucial to our success! |
