Obituary for Jay R Conway
Jay R. Conway , Passed away at his home on March 21, 2021 at the age of 86.

Jay is a Graduate of Moorestown High School and Wake Forest University. He is a member of the National Society of Accountants and the New Jersey Association of Public Accountants. He is the son of the late Harry Conway who served a career
in finance and banking, and the late Rebecca Conway who was a school teacher in
Moorestown, New Jersey.


While attending Wake Forest University, Jay was in the R.O.T.C. and after college served in the United States Army attaining the rank of Captain, and also served in the United States Army Reserve. Jay has been a Licensed Public Accountant since
1978. His accounting career began with the "Big 8 Accounting Firm" of Lybrand, Ross Brothers & Montgomery in Philadelphia, Pa., which is now the Price Waterhouse Coopers Group. He served there as a Senior Auditor. He then served four years as Treasurer of Cameo Parkway Records located in Philadelphia, which was the recording company featuring the famous “Chubby Checker" and the Twist. After leaving Cameo Parkway Records, Jay started his own accounting and tax practice in Cherry Hill, New Jersey prior to moving his practice to Cinnaminson, New Jersey in 1986.


His volunteer activities include assisting in various functions for his and his wife's church, The First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown, New Jersey, assisting with the United States Veterans Administration wounded servicemen activities locally, and serving on the Cinnaminson Township Zoning Board.


Jay is an avid golfer and has been playing since he was a teenager. Other hobbies consist of building plane and ship models, and traveling in the family motor home showing the family’s Irish Setters and English Springer Spaniels and completing their Championships.

Steven (Dianna) Conway and Lorie (Michael) Mckelvey. Grandfather of Chelsey Conway, Tommy Brighton ,Kevin Brighton ,Jennifer Mckelvey , Alexandra Conway, Kimberly Mckelvey and Lily Conway. Great grandfather of Jaxon Egbert, Nelson Alonso 3rd and Miles Alonso

Funeral service Thursday 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 101 Bridgeboro Rd. Moorestown,

Viewing Thursday Morning from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the Lewis Funeral Home, 78 E. Main St. Moorestown, NJ. 08057.
