SEPA 11/28 H/M Joe Czuryla US NAVY

Warriors' Watch has been asked to honor this veteran with a flag line and escort to Washington's Crossing National Cemetery.

This Vietnam Vet served his time on the USS Ticonderoga. Petty officer second class Joseph Czuryla was off the coast giving air support. He was in charge of maintaining and repairing the radio systems and all electronics on the fighter jets. Joe doesn't have much family. His sister lives out of state and is physically unable to make the trip. We can step in to be his family.

This vet will be buried with full honors.

Rally Point: Ciavarelli Funeral Home, 951 East Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002
Rally Time: 10:15 am Flag line in place at 10:30 am
Escort to WCNC after services for 1:30 interment/inurnment.

RC - Available

There will be members of Blue Comet MC attending as well.

More about our Veteran - it is a very sad story. He lost his DD214 and knew of no way to replace it, so he never filed/got his pension or health care. He worked at Walmart and rented a room in someone's house, where he died in his sleep.

Joseph's nephew and wife traveled down from New Hampshire; Joseph's sister is unable to travel. They, Angel, and her son (who was a good friend of Joseph) were very thankful for all who came to show final honors to this Veteran.

We had a nice mix of Warriors' Watch and Blue Comet. A few rode their bikes, but many came in their cars. Some just attended the funeral home portion, some just stood at WCNC, some did both. It didn't matter how they got there - they just did and they did what they could! Tis all that matters and was greatly appreciated by all!
