Spike,

I can't thank you and your riders enough for making Richard's send off a day to remember. As I sit with my wife Sherri (Richards daughter) riding in the first car behind the Hearse, its hard to describe the feeling of seeing your riders proudly display the American and MIA flags flying in the wind as we drive on the road. As we made our way to the church and then to the cemetery, you can see the onlookers faces as they witnessed the honoring of a war hero being sent off with with the help of his brothers in arms. I felt the welling up inside of the proud feeling I felt when I was in the Navy and served my country. Richard would have felt so proud to see how he was honored. From the flags and colors that were displayed as the casket paraded in front of each rider, I could see the respect displayed for our fallen warrior. His Bronze Star earned during WWII was issued to a soldier that put his life on the line for our country, now we say goodby and thank you as taps are played and I solute a hero of America.

Thank you spike and all your brothers. I'm very proud to be a part of this country, where we honor the men and women that protect our freedom. I solute all of you.

Your brother,

Mark Oliver
USN 1982 thru 1988
