Ride Report for Ride Captain Jim Moore
Ten Riders rode to Apalachicola Florida for the 2nd Annual Patriots Day, in Honor of the “Three Soldier’s Statue” at Veteran’s Park. Guest speaker was Ben L. Humphries, President, Vietnam Veterans of America, Florida State Council.
Port St. Joe HIgh School Navy ROTC presented Colors.
Mr. Humphries spoke on the need to educate our youth on what Patriotism is. During his speech, Mr. Humphries all but quoted the words that are present on the infamous WWR Challenge Coins, “NEVER AGAIN WILL AN AMERICAN WARRIOR BE SCORNED OR IGNORED”. After the ceremony, Dan Marvin (President of The Veterans Task Force of Northwest Florida), along with Captain Toby, (Atlantic Region Coordinator, Warriors Watch Riders) “coined” (presented one of the most treasured symbols of the WWR organization, the WWR Challenge Coin) to  Mr. Humphries. When Mr. Humphries saw his words displayed on the WWR challenge coin  his appreciation was demonstrated by sincere hugs that he presented to the pair.
Laying of a Wreath concluded the ceremony.
Thank you to all WWR members as well as the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) for supporting this mission.
