Ride Report posted for Matt

We were requested to assist in Welcoming Home PFC Daniel Fundukian as he returned to Carol Stream IL from FT Stewart GA where he is currently stationed after an 8 month tour in Afghanistan. Daniel was accompanied by his wife Heather and Heathers 3 Children on their drive from Ga to Il.  Staging was set at Portillos in Villa Park IL where members waited for our Warriors arrival, standing two flag lines for them to drive between. Before our Warrior arrived Heathers mother and sister came to join us in our flag lines.

When PFC Fundukian and family arrived and got out of the car he was greeted with shouts, Cheers, Handshakes, Hugs, and Tears of Joy on his safe return. We then mounted up and provided an escort of 35 motorcycles and 4 cages to Heathers moms house in Carol Stream IL, assisted by the Carol Stream Police and Fire Departments. Once at the house PFC Fundukian was Presented with Honor Beads, Coin, and a print out of the Thread. PFC Fundukian and Heather were married not that long before his deployment and were unable to have a traditional wedding or reception at that time. The main reason for their return to IL was so that on Sunday 7-10-11 they could renew their vows in front of family and friends so that they could start to share their life together with those closest to them. PFC Fundukian is going to be career Army but is unsure of what or where his next assignment will be at this point.

I would like to thank the Carol Stream Police and Fire Departments, and I would like to wish Heather and Dan a great and happy life together.
