The Hero and his family, was pick up, by a stretch limo at his house, within hours of returning home from Fort Campbell. Due to the very narrow street he lives on, the Limo was escorted, from his house, By Kingston Police Dept. to a “staging point” approx. A half mile away. Here the escort grew to 12 Bikes, 1 trike, the Ulster County Sheriff Dept, Kingston Fire Dept, and the Town of Ulster Police Dept. We then continued the trip to the host restaurant. ” Christina’s” Approx. 2 miles away. (NOTE All major intersections on the route were protected by saluting officers of three different LEO) Here, the hero was greeted by the color guard from the local American Legion post 150, and the VFW Joyce-sherrick post.

The Kingston Fire Dept. Ulster Hose Fire Dept., the local TV station, and about 100 patriotic Americans, waving Flags, and giving thanks. Once at the restaurant, Sgt. Kolbinski, was presented with a “Thank You plaque” from Our sister organization “A Hero’s Welcome” by Vince Auletta. And I presented him with a Coin from WWR and thanked him for his service. Sgt. Kolbinski was completely surprised by this event, and as can be seen in the photos, overwhelmed, by it.

I would like to personally  thank everyone who helped make this possible, since EVERYTHING was donated free of charge! Dinner, limo, LEO,FD, etc.
