Ride Report posted for Fuzzy
On a blustery Sunday afternoon about 10 bikes and 3 cages met at Steinhauer Middle School in Maple Shade.
We were waiting for Sgt. 1st Class Allen Maiden, his wife Betty and their 4 children. Sgt. Maiden has just completed his 4th tour. 3 in Iraq and this last in Afghanistan. And he plans on going back for yet another! We knew we had someone special and we were there to make sure the town knew it too.

Once we got the call that the family had finished dinner at a local restaurant we saddled up and met them at the door with a flag line and lots of hugs and handshakes. Part 1 of the mission was accomplished. We had a very surprised and happy Hero on our hands.

We then proceeded to escort Sgt. Maiden and his family to his house where once again the Yellow Ribbon Club had worked their magic.

After a beautiful rendition of our National Anthem was performed the Mayor and town council thanked Sgt Allen for his service.
Warriors Watch then coined him and awarded Betty a Spouse Honor Certificate.
A Heroes Welcome had a few words and a certificate for him too.
Finally the Yellow Ribbon Club awarded Sgt. Maiden with their “coin”!

Before he was turned over to friends and neighbors, Mike Drummond of the Y.R.C. gave a short but very stirring speech. I have included a link to that speech because I know what he said is in all of our hearts.

Thank You Sgt. Maiden, for your continuing service to this great nation and for setting such a shining example of a true American Hero.
Thank You Betty Maiden and your children. For you also serve.

Thanks also to the Maple Shade Police Dept. for the escort. Thank you for always being there when we call.
