On a rather warm February Sunday afternoon, Warriors’ Watch Riders, along with Feasterville Fire Company, Upper Southampton Fire Company, & Lower Southampton Police, joined the family and friends to honor U.S. Army Lt. Col. Joe Camperson for his 27 years of service. Lt. Col. Camperson had recently returned from a 9 month deployment to Afghanistan. He was attending a party in his honor at the house of his cousin in Feasterville, Pa when we rolled up to surprise him 20 bikes and 6 cages strong. Surrounded by his friends, family, and 4 members of his unit, we presented Joe with a Warriors’ Watch coin, a star from a retired American flag, a certificate from A Hero’s Welcome, Warrior beads, a Combat Veterans M/C Challenge Coin, and a Kathrine Failkowski Memorial Certificate of Honor for children, presented to his 8 year daughter .

Members of Warriors’ Watch also had the honor of presenting the members of his unit with Honor coins as well as Combat Veteran Challenge coins.

The Lieutenant Colonel took some time to thank the group for their time and dedication to our troops, and told a couple stories about his deployment and career. Finally, to quote Joe ” This is one of the best homecomings I have ever had. When you see something like this, it makes you feel warm.” That, Lieutenant Colonel, is the reason we do what we do. Thank You for your many years of service and dedication to our great nation. It is because of the brave like you, that we are the home of the free.

Submitted with honor and respect,
