AFTER RIDE REPORT POSTED FOR BOOZER

I arrived at the Diner (for 18 years it was Homers, I checked the internet, it said Homers only to find out that with the construction at the Collingswood Circle, the diner was renamed the Collingswood Diner) a bit early and recon’d Carlas’ house, two minutes away.

Slowly they began arriving. Bobcat, Al and Ray,then Jim Sweeny from th Legion Riders and Stan. and finally John. Thanks Deuce for the coffee.

We arrived at Carla’s to have four car loads of friends and family mounting up for the 9 mile ride to the Westville VFW. Six bikes in front and one behind as we make our way through Woodlynne, Camden, Gloucester City, Brooklawn, Westville and finally to Deptford.

As we cross over 295, I was told the LEO woud be meeting us at the Sunoco Station. Well there is no Sunoco, A Citgo, a Shell, but No Sunoco. Thankfully the LEO pulled out in front of us with his lights a flashing to lead us the final miles to the VFW. Sorry we didnt get  you the Motorcycle ride, next time when its a bit warmer.

Fifteen or so members of the Post met us outside the Post waving flags and greeting our hero. Lil Baskerville  of New Jersey’s A Heros Welcome put together a nice little reception. Carla met the Post Members, got a chance to meet the riders. We joined the family inside to warm our bones before we slowly departed in small groups. I’m sure her family was impressed, Maria, of PA’s A Heros Welcome, was also on hand. A pleasure to see her as always.

Thank you Carla.  for your Service to our Country, Thank you to our Riders who took the time on a cold almost winters day to honor our hero. And thank you to those who were not in attendance but as usual you thoughts and hearts were in the right place.
