From the Gazeebo...
WARRIORS' WATCH: UP AND DOWN THE EASTERN SEABOARD!
The following announcement was posted just today by our National Coordinator, "T":
"All hands , I'm pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce " B.C." Koehler, the new State Coordinator for the Great State of North Carolina. I will allow BC to give a little back ground on himself, then, get him to work. I appreciate you help in welcoming him and ask that you help get him up to speed. Thank you Bruce for stepping up, and for your patriotism and support of our troops. Also , Welcome home brother, its been a long road. Thank you for your Air Force service."
Thank you, BC, from all of us for stepping up to bring North Carolina into the fold.

In last week's Weekly Ride we reported on the large influx of new members from GEORGIA. I wrote then, "I have long held that Georgia is a state where patriotism and respect for our warriors is rampant, and now we have a new Georgia State WWR Coordinator and a whole gaggle of new Georgia members. Please say hellow to Greywolf, Georgia State Coordinator, and his Assistant State Coordinator, Snap! Gentlemen, LET'S ROLL!"
Well, I have to tell you, ROLL they did! The growth in Georgia membership is nothing short of astounding! The new Georgia registrations are streaming in, and it has not yet slowed down.
I hope that all WWR patriots around the country will bear with me for a moment as I speak directly to our Georgia brothers and sisters: Patriots, GOD BLESS EVERY ONE OF YOU. Some of you are the subjects of some extremely unfair words, some of you are learning that not all people act from pure motives all of the time. You are seeing yourselves become the subjects of talk that is disrespectful and childish and unbecoming of anyone who purports to be a supporter of "the mission."
Know what that means? It means that you are DOING THE RIGHT ETHICAL AND MORAL THING. As a wise man once said, it's when "they" are NOT talking about you that you have to worry. If you are doing the right thing, that's all you need to know. I know you don't need me or anyone else to tell you this - I only want you to know that you have thousands of supporters now, brothers-in-arms, and fellow riders in the "troop-support business."
New members also continue to roll in from all other regions, especially the Philadelphia area (PA, NJ, DE and MD) and the Chicago area (N. Illinois and S. Wisconsin) - but Georgia is catching up VERY FAST! Georgia Patriots and True Americans who love their country and honor and respect their troops and military families have found a home with the Warriors' Watch Riders, and I am PROUD to count them among my brothers.

SPREADING THE WORD, Redux!
Several recent newspaper and TV news stories are driving interest and hits on the WWR website. The "hits" on our site are multiplying exponentially, and that is excellent news for the growth of our troop support efforts.
Here is a very recent news story, one of very many, from the Phillyburbs.com newspaper in Bucks County, Pa. On Saturday, as we were gathering for the WWR rid3 to the Philadelphia airport to greet Spc. Timothy Russell (with a "mere" 60 or 70 WWRiders), one of our members said to me "you can't turn on the news without seeing a Warriors' Watch story." and that is true, and that is thanks to YOUR work and dedication, WWR members!
FINAL WORD: Because I can:
The men and women of the Warriors' Watch Riders are the finest, most decent, most dedicated, most "real" American Patriots I have ever been privilaged to meet. I continue to be awed and humbled by every single act of honor and respect shown by WWR members for our troops, our first responders, and their families. THANK YOU, for joining us in our Vision. THANK YOU for showing our warriors, the nation, and the world that we give a damn, that we love them and support them, that as they fight for us and have our backs over there, WE HAVE THEIR BACKS HERE AT HOME..
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR WARRIORS! TOGETHER WE ARE CHANGING THE CULTURE - ONE WARRIOR AT A TIME!

Nathaniel returned home on March 24th after being wounded. We will be arriving at his house to thank him for his service.
Below is a news article about him.
LocalFamily, fiancee welcome home soldier. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 | 7:16 PM By Paul MeinckeMarch 24, 2009 (WLS) -- A Chicago soldier got a warm welcome home when he returned to Chicago on Tuesday after serving in Afghanistan.Army Staff Sergeant Nathaniel Rivera was greeted by family, friends and his fiancée.Gotta hurry. Make the home ready for the homecoming. Get the flags up. Staff Segeant Nate Rivera will be home in just a few minutes. Two weeks ago, the mood at his parents' Northwest Side home was markedly different. There was a voice mail. Nate had been injured in Afghanistan. He was OK, but the wait to hear directly was pure agony "Was about three days. I was really worry and we pray to God everything is OK," said Mariam Rivera, solider's mom."We didn't sleep at all but when we got the phone call at two o'clock in the morning, it was the greatest feeling to hear the voice on the other side," said Victor Rivera, soldier's dad.Master Sergeant Rivera came home on Tuesday afternoon, his left leg in a cast, a fractured ankle, the result of an improvised explosive device that hit his humvee. But crutches don't hinder hugging."I had a cousin who died in Iraq, so its a little hard having him over there, but he's home. Yes he's home. It's a good ending," said Karen Kujawinski, soldier's fiancée."It's been a long journey, a little emotional, but other than that happy to be alive," said Master Sgt. Nate Rivera, Illinois National Guard.Rivera's fellow guardsmen from a Freeport-based MP unit -pulled him away from his damaged humvee just before it exploded. He has two screws in a fractured ankle but he's lucky. And he misses his mates."Yeh it's the soldier in me. I should be there. I want to go back. It's just the camaraderie you build as a soldier," said Sgt. Rivera.Rivera will do rehab now and most probably finish his 11-year guard career stateside. This evening, though, there can't be too many hugs.

SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA: WELCOME HOME LCPL NATHAN J. SIMMS, SATURDAY MAR 28
We have a request to honor a Marine who has recently returned from a tour in the middle east. And what's even better, he's the son of one of our own.
Jim Simms (Lone Wolf) will be picking his son up at Camp LeJeune this Friday and bringing him home.
Since they really have no idea when they'll be in the area, we will escort Jim and his son home from a lunch they'll be having on Sat at the Country Squire Diner in Broomall Pa.
The escort will be to Havertown Pa., about 4 miles away.
Nathan graduated from Haverford H.S. in 2004 and joined the Marines in May of 2006. He was deployed to Iraq from Feb 07 to Sept 07.
He was most recently deployed in Aug of 08 to the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Somalia, where he participated in anti-pirating operations. He came back in March 09 to Camp LeJeune.
He is a member of the Military Police. Lone Wolf is the proud father of another Marine, Sgt. Jason Simms. Jason was deployed to Iraq in May of 04 and was wounded in early July. An IED was detonated under his vehicle. The driver was killed and Jason suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns of his face and hands. He was shot in the leg upon exiting the vehicle.
We hope that Jason will be at home when we arrive so we can thank this brave Marine for his service to a grateful nation.
Jim Simms has much to be proud of and we are very proud that he is a member of the WWR.

*This newsletter is named "The Weekly Ride" or "The Ride", for short, in memory of and to honor Sgt. Jennifer Hartman, U.S. Army. Sgt. Hartman was killed in Iraq by America's enemies. She died in defense of our freedom at the age of 20. This quote from Jennifer was read at her graveside:
"It's not about what happened in the past. It's not about what might happen in the future. It's about the ride, for Christ's sake."
