WWR: LOOKING BACK, LOOKING AHEAD
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Warriors' Watch Riders:
There is so much happening, and so much that has happened, that I do not have time to do it all justice tonight. I had considered waiting until tomorrow night to send the Weekly Ride, but I'm not sure what that would accomplish. Also, there are so many upcoming rides and missions of importance that I need to ensure that all of you get this information.
So I am simply going to leave you with a coupld of points, then get on to the missions.
1. PLEASE help us by sending up your best wishes and prayers for the full and quick recovery of Warriors' Watch Rider FeFe. In case you have not heard, she encountered a piece of debris on a sharp curve and went off the road. This happened last Sunday evening, after she had completed the Friends of the Forgotten Ride for Freedom. She is hospitalized, and while she is EXPECTED TO MAKE A FULL RECOVERY, for now she is still in ICU and in pain and discomfort. There is a long and heartwarming thread of condolences and good wishes on the WWR Forums. If you have not yet done so, PLEASE visit that thread and add your best wishes. We will be printing this out for her upon her eventual release from the hospital and IT MEANS A LOT. Go and see for yourself how it's going:
Feef down, UPDATED Info
Just one thing, if you are not a member of the forums, you will have to register to read this. THAT IS NOT A BAD THING!
2. You in Pennsylvania have undoubtedly heard the horrible news of the death of the PA State Trooper who was shot in a fight to save a small child who had been abducted. This hero is a former Marine and his brother had to be called back from the Sandbox as well. The funeral for this hero is an official Pennsylvania Warriors' Watch Mission at the direct invitation of the State Police, our friends, and will take place in the NorthEastern Region of Pennsylvania, putting Bluesman, the WWR SC for the Northeast PA region in charge. Please follow the planning for this here:
NEPA Honor Mission Trooper Miller
The entire town will be out for this, it's going to be very sad. Please support this if you possibly can. We stand in honor of those who fall in our defense.
There are many, many other missions that I could talk about, here, in New Jersey, in Delaware, in Illinois and more - but I will leave it at this for now. Please take the time to read about the missions completed on the main WWR website and the upcoming misisons on the Confirmed Missions forums and the Pending Missions forums.
God Bless all y'all, and keep fighting the good fight.
- Wayne Lutz

*This newsletter is named "The Weekly Ride" or "The Ride", for short, in memory of and to honor Sgt. Jennifer Hartman, U.S. Army. Sgt. Hartman was killed in Iraq by America's enemies. She died in defense of our freedom at the age of 20. This quote from Jennifer was read at her graveside:
"It's not about what happened in the past. It's not about what might happen in the future. It's about the ride, for Christ's sake."
