SEPA 5/29 Bridge Dedication SP5 Martin Mebs US ARMY

The Pennsylvania Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and the County of Bucks invite you to see the dedication of Bucks County Bridge #89 on Barclay Street in Newtown Borough. SP5 Mebs saved countless lives when he used his bulldozer to put a fire out at the ammo dump in FSB Veghel. The fire could have destroyed the entire base and killed the hundreds of men stationed there. Hear his story as told by the men that were stationed in FSB Veghel with him. Please join us on Wednesday May 29 at 10am to honor this American Hero.

Rally Point: 18 Barclay St, Newtown, PA
Rally Time: 9:30 am

Boy did this young man and his heroism fall through the cracks. After 50 years, his family finally got the medals SP5 Mebs was to received back then. Now there is an effort to have him granted the Congressional Medal of Honor for his selfless actions which saved hundreds of lives. If anyone can help, please bring this to the attention of whomever you know.
