IMMEDIATE RELEASE DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
Warrant Officer Travis R. Tamayo, 32, of Brownsville, Texas, died Sept. 16 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in a non-combat-related incident. The incident is under investigation.
Tamayo was assigned to the 202nd Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Gordon, Georgia.
