Obituary
Wayne Bryant Seher, 73, of Pennsville, NJ entered eternal rest on August 3, 2023, after he lost a short battle with cancer.

Wayne was born on February 23, 1950, in Baltimore, MD. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1967-1970, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran, who was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and a Bronze Star. Wayne was a Class A CDL Truck driver, and a proud Teamster for over 30 years. He retired (accident free) at the age of 60 after 23 years at ABF Freight. During his retirement, Wayne became very involved in the Veteran community and was a proud member of VFW Post 8840 for the last 8 years, where he served as Quartermaster for the last 3. One of his finest accomplishments was serving as Co-Chair for the Traveling Vietnam Wall in 2019, which brought in over 10,000 people from all over and had a profound impact on the entire community, especially for those who served or lost loved ones during that time. In October 2021, Wayne was recognized and received the “Honoring a Local Veteran Award”. Wayne was also a Marshall in the Jersey String Band for the last 3 years. Wayne was always the life of the party and a true, die-hard fan of Elvis Presley! Wayne enjoyed long rides on country roads driving his Can Am, and yearly summer trips to Knoebels with some of his favorite people! He loved spending time with his grandkids and attending family parties. He loved food, especially when it was Kenny’s time to buy! Most of all, he loved his beautiful lawn and watching his perfect grass grow! It’s no surprise, he touched the lives of so many people around him. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian (nee Peterman), his father, William Magnus, and his brothers Walter and Bradford Seher.

Wayne is survived by his loving partner of 15 years, Colleen Hallahan and his three children, Jennifer (Roger), Wayne (Bettina), and Daniel (Carolyn). He was the proud grandfather of Roger, Cody, Emily, Daniel, Gage, Tanner, Daisy, Stella, Carter, and Everly. He was also a proud “second dad” to Daniel and Megan Lyons. He is also survived by his sister, Suzanne McConnell, his half-sister Renee Orr, his ex-spouse of 25 years, Virginia (nee Allmond), nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service and military burial on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 719 Route 45, Piles Grove, NJ 08098. A Celebration of Life will follow at the VFW Post 8840, 100 Margaret Street, Penns Grove, NJ 08069. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wayne’s honor to the VFW Post 8840 or the Jersey String Band in West Deptford, NJ.
