Short Notice request from family of USMC veteran and Police Officer.

Dennis M. Burns served his country in both the USMC and as a police officer.

BURNS DENNIS MICHAEL, USMCR Passed away on Monday August 9, 2021. He was 70. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas W. and Margaret M. (Dowd). Beloved Husband of the late Margaret M. (nee Lawless). Loving brother of Thomas and Margaret (nee Funari), devoted father of Natalie and David, and Grandfather of Gulianna. Dennis is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dennis served in the USMCR. He worked many Philadelphia police districts from 1972-1996 and served as Sergeant in the 2nd Philadelphia police district. He served as a Bryn Athyn police officer from 1996-2018. Dennis was an avid Phila. sports fan, and he coached and played softball for many years. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life on Thursday August 19, Visitation at 9:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. at St. John Bosco. Catholic Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Bosco, 215 E. County Line Road, Hatboro, Pa 19040. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. BRYERS FUNERAL HOM

Viewing and Mass: August 19,9:30 AM
Location: St. John Bosco 215 E. County Line Road
Hatboro PA 19040
Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
3301 W. Cheltenham Ave. 19150
Rally time: 9:15 at the Church.

I reached out to some of the funeral regulars but if anyone help out it would be much appreciated.
