Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Taylor C. Montgomery enlisted in the New Jersey Air National Guard in May of 2016 and is currently assigned to the 177th Fighter Wing located at the Atlantic City International Airport. She graduated USAF Basic Training at Lackland AFB, Texas and then reported to Sheppard AFB Texas for advanced training in Aircraft Armament Systems for the F-16 Fighter. She’s returning from a six month deployment in Afghanistan and Abu Dhabi UAE, Taylor was promoted to Staff Sergeant during this deployment. Previously SSgt Montgomery was deployed in April 2020 for four months to assist the US Army at the Menlo Park Memorial Veterans home to assist in Covid-19 Covid operations as part of Joint Task Force 57 where she was the only USAF member awarded The Army Achievement Medal for her “unmatched performance and dedication to duty.” She later was deployed to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Vineland for two months to assist in Covid-19 operations.
Taylor grew up in Mantua NJ along with her brother Nate and her sister Samantha and was a 2016 graduate of Clearview Regional High School where she lettered all four years in varsity Track and Field setting a Hurdles record that still stands today. Taylor is also a full time student at Rowan University completing some of her classes online while on deployment .
