This gentleman was killed and buried in a makeshift grave with other servicemen before a lot of us were born. There was a wonderful turnout including many Marines; in fact the last two songs at the funeral were "God Bless America" and the Marine Corp Hymn. It was very nice to have the American Legion Riders and Blue Comet Motorcycle Club members standing the flag line with us and riding as escort along with the great Philadelphia Police. His two (2) surviving sisters (92 & 97) were very gracious and appreciative of all who attended to honor their brother.
