Guys and Girls I got a message from Big Lee:
Let’s see if we can swing this; maybe send just a couple people over for the 1030 AM funeral

Huggy, my daughter, Michele, and her husband, Patrick, both Captains just sent me this. I know you guys are going to be there tomorrow any chance you could go a little earlier for this one too? I know it’s a long shot but I just figured I’d throw it out there.

We have an unclaimed veteran, Leroy Bortner, and his wife, Lucille, who both passed away in 1986 and are finally getting a proper burial. He served in the Army from 1942 until 1946 and participated in World War II. Unfortunately, no friends or family could be located.

Leroy and Lucille will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA on September 24, 2019 at 10:30.

Please support so this couple does not go alone

This was added to the mission for USAF Major Newbon. I've separated it to make it its own mission here in completed missions.

We were informed Mr. and Mrs. Bortner died within a couple months of each other in 1986 and their cremains "passed from mantel to mantel, person to person" until those people died. Someone brought them to the County Coroner's office and left them there. Quite a few people attended their final service and we feel they will now rest in peace.
