The barbecue restaurant company, known for its pulled pork and patriotism, is coming to Burlington County on Aug. 19 and encouraging veterans to apply for its open jobs.

EVESHAM — A new barbecue restaurant is coming later this month, and it’s on a mission to help residents who have served the country.
Mission BBQ, a Maryland-based chain known for its pulled pork and patriotic theme, is opening at 545 Route 73 on Aug. 19. The restaurant, which has a program for hiring veterans, announced Thursday that it’s hiring cashiers, bussers, dining room leaders, prep and line cooks, and an assistant manager.
“Mission BBQ is honored to include veterans among our ranks,” promotional materials from the restaurant said. “Your training, integrity and superior standards make you a leader. Every branch of the service is represented at behind our counters, in our kitchen, and at all levels of restaurant management.”
The company has locations all over the country, all of which salute the United States with the national anthem at noon every day. The interior of a Mission BBQ restaurant is usually decorated with tributes to the military, police and firefighters. The company is also known for partnering with and donating more than $10 million to national organizations that help veterans, wounded soldiers, families of fallen firefighters and police, and local organizations.
Evesham would be the second New Jersey location after a Deptford Mission BBQ that opened three years ago.
The restaurant traditionally hosts charity events every night the week leading up to the opening of a new location. In Evesham, there will be a Military Appreciation Charity Night from 6 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 16, the Friday before the grand opening.
Mission BBQ encourages those interested in applying to visit mission-bbq.com/veterans.
