Does anyone know what happened yesterday? Half the group went one way and half went the other. I ended up in Jersey!

As happens many times, there's the plan and then there's what happens.

The plane was reported to be on a two-hour delay (eta 4:30) and the airport personnel asked those there to clear the area until then. It was also reported that rain would be arriving early evening. With all that, some folks went home due to other commitments and/or concern for riding in a storm, and others split up to get food. Unfortunately, since there was such a large group, there was some confusion on what was happening and some ended up where they didn't plan to be.

The plan landed around 4:05 and the escort began around 20 minutes later.

Those who returned to the airport provided a wonderful escort to the funeral home, which was appreciated by the family, military staff, and the funeral home staff. Some of our guys even acted as pallbearers from the hearse to inside the funeral home.
