SNJ 5/24A W/H Jeremy Hreben & Jared Knouse (Van Zant School)

Rally: 7-eleven 300 E Greentree Rd, Marlton
Rally Time:0800
KSU:0825

This is our yearly welcome home @ VAN ZANT School but this year we will be honoring two heroes. We will be picking up both our heroes at their homes and escorting them to the school together.

US Army Specialist Jeremy Hreben:
· US Army Jeremy Hreben is 41 year old and was with the 101st Army Airborne Division.
· He was trained as a combat engineer and also as a demolition and explosives expert.
· He was Air Assault qualified and an Expert Marksman.
· He graduated Rutgers University with a degree in Agronomy
· He is married to wife Lauren and they have a 5th grader Jordan
· The Hreben’s love softball, golfing, boating and off-roading in their JEEP.
· Jordan is finishing her last year at Van Zant elementary and has no idea her Dad is about to be honored in front of her entire school. It’s a surprise!

US Army Specialist Jared Knouse:
· US Army Specialist Jared Knouse joined the US Army because he was a history buff and loved learning about World War II. He wanted to protect his country as Veterans from WWII did.
· Honors include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star.
· Jared first grew up in Medford, NJ then moved to Maryland, North Carolina and Georgia before returning to the NJ area.
· His wife Wendy grew up in Cherry Hill and they met on Facebook.
· They have been married 7 years and have 2 children; ages 5 and 2
· Jared currently works at Joint Base Maguire Dix Lakehurst since returning home to NJ.
· He loves going to the mountains, hiking, barbecuing, building, shooting and playing sports with their two boys.
· His 5 year old son will be attending Van Zant in September for Kindergarten and we can’t think of a better way to welcome the Knouse family into the school!
