VERY SHORT NOTICE HONOR MISSION MISSION

Attention Marple & Newtown Friends: a member of the Marple-Newtown community passed away recently and he only has 1 living relative. The man, Dick Lutz, served our country in the Korean Conflict and has resided in Marple for many yrs. He was an active parishioner of St. Anastasia for a long time as well. A memorial mass is being celebrated for him on Saturday at 10am at St. Annies. It would be incredible if members of the community could attend to honor the service this man gave to our great country in Korea. All of the people participating in the mass (lector, cantor, organist and priest celebrant) are donating their time and talents to make this a beautiful mass.

Date: Saturday, February 15
Time: 9:30 am
Location: St. Anastasia Catholic Church 3301 West Chester Pike Newtown Square, PA 19073
RC: available

Flagline at entrance, please bring 3x5 Flags for this mission.

FROM HOTEL 63:

WWR, along with AHW and SSBP, attended a memorial service for this Air Force Korean War Veteran. Since this Veteran was a huge community member, the Parish Priest from St. Anastasia’s in Broomall and a few Parish members took it upon themselves to have this hero properly honored.

A strong flag line of approx 25 members of the aforementioned groups were present and thanked many times by the community that showed up in very strong numbers to honor this gentleman.
WWR was afforded the honor of presenting the V.A. American flag to the lone family member.

All groups made it perfectly clear to all those who attended that this is our HONOR to show our support for those who defend, have defended and have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

A huge debt of gratitude to all who attended.
