Warriors Watch has been requested to participate in honoring this fallen US Army veteran (bio below)

Location: Resurrection Episcopal Church - 2131 Mount Rd, Aston PA with follow-on escort to Washingtons Crossing Memorial Cemetary.

Sergeant First Class, Joseph W. Dreyer, Sr. – 8/30/2019



Sergeant First Class, Joseph W. Dreyer, Sr.68, of Upper Chichester passed away at his home on August 30th, 2019. He was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia where he was a graduate of John Bartram High School. Joe dedicated his life to service of his country. He was a life-long member of the US Army with whom he served during both Vietnam and Dessert Storm until his retirement. He was the recipient of many medals of honor and valor for his service. During his time in the Army he served as a field operator and had the distinction of chauffeuring General Norman Schwarzkopf as he planned battle strategy.

Joe was also a member of the Freemasons, Washington Lodge in Philadelphia. His area of work in the military was as a mechanic. This was also one of his passions. He enjoyed his time working on cars, working outside, and was very tech savvy. He also enjoyed watching old western movies.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Christopher J. Dreyer; brother, Charles Dreyer. He is survived by his Wife of 48 years, Theresa “Terry” Dreyer; children, Joseph Dreyer, Jr. (Fara), David Dreyer (Louise), Brian Dreyer (Hope), Andrew Dreyer (Vanessa), Keith Dreyer (Brandy), Harry Dreyer (Marlana), Michelle Turnbull (Matthew), and Kristal Dreyer (Amanda); 20 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Harry, Ed, and Thomas Dreyer, Ruth Granger, and Mary McKinney.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, September 9th at 11am at Resurrection Episcopal Church 2131 Mount Rd. Aston, PA 19014. Friends and family are invited to call from 10-11am in church. Burial will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA at 2:30pm. Joe’s request is that those who attend his funeral services do so casually. Please don’t wear suits or dress clothing.
