Ride Report posted for JohnDelivers

Another Short Notice Mission in NJ, less than twenty four hours notice, again. No biggie. Red and I, and maybe another bike or two will show up and our hero will be happy that a few patriots were there to Welcome Him Home.

Obviously I’ve got to change my line of thinking……..

No fewer than twenty five of the most Patriotic Biker Scum showed up to Welcome Home one of America’s True Heroes, Army SPC Colin Pemberton. While our escort plans were changed on the fly, everything ended perfectly.

We rallied at MickyD’s, and planned to roll over to TGI Friday’s to meet Colin and his mother as they left the restaurant. It turns out that Colin was getting to Evesham late, so he met us at McDonald’s. We gave Colin a chance to collect himself after the long drive home. Then we gave him the usual WWR greetings of hand shakes, back slaps, and hugs. In short order, Colin hopped on with Chopper for the brief ride over to the family home. Evesham PD made sure we arrived safely at our destination, thank you. The Evesham FD and EMT’s were out in force. And that GIANT American Flag, hanging down from a ladder truck, is always a sight to behold. The American flag-waving, red-white-and-blue bleeding, Patriots of the Yellow Ribbon Club were on hand and were not to be denied their “Mug & Hug” time with this Warrior.

Presentations were made by Colonel Bancroft, Leslie of the Yellow Ribbon Club, and Howard, one of our newer members, presented Colin with the WWR Honor Coin.

This was a great mission.
Thank you to all for making our Hero feel like a Rock Star..
Welcome Home SPC Colin Pemberton.
