Parents Debby and Joseph Malley are very proud of their son  Medic Joseph Malley who  joined the Army in June of 2006. Upon completing basic training at Fort Benning, GA, he was sent to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX for intensive training as a combat medic.  Passing this course in February, 2007, was assigned to Fort Carson, CO.  In December of 2007, he was deployed to Iraq.   Joseph was serving as a support medic to infantry units performing various missions.  For two weeks in August, he volunteered to accompany a Special Forces Group on a mission.  In December 2008, Joseph was sent to study for his second level of training as a medic.  He passed this course and has obtained his basic EMT status.  He had his 21st birthday in Iraq but their was not much celebrating going on.  This year will be much different.

Debby Malley  was able to meet her son in Colorado Springs at Fort Carson after his return from Iraq, it was a Very emotional homecoming for all the families.

As they waited out their time to in Co. the plans were being laid here for his Homecoming. Lou was making calls to West Chester Police, Maria & Charlie from A Hero’s Welcome were making plans to be at the Airport and they called the local Fire Dept. Their were regular emails between Debby, Maria and myself. Once the Rally point was set and the post started the family was checking in, they even joined themselves, they just could not believe the level of support and dedication of our members.
On arrival day the chance of rain did not deter the faithful, We had 18 warriors standing tall and proud waiting for our package to arrive. Joseph was met by A Hero’s Welcome and Six car loads of family who brought the unsuspecting Medic Past our flag line, I Need to mention standing across from us was a about 15  members of the West Chester Swat Team who had just finished a full day of training but wanted to join us in welcoming home Joe. After our Hero made his way thru the line and exited the car he was ambushed with hand shakes and hugs, I slipped him his Magic coin and a Warriors’ Watch shirt for his Birthday, a quick rendering of Happy Birthday then we were off.

The West Chester Police and the Swat Team did an excellent job getting our convoy to the home safely. When we hit their street all of the trees had Yellow bows and the neighbors were all out with flags and posters cheering Welcome Home  GI. JOE. We lined the street with our vehicles because the dead end was filled with people, including the West Chester Fire Dept. Mom & dad sure do birthdays right because i think he liked his new ride better than the shirt we gave him. Everybody mingled for awhile then the family had opened their home to us and for some food & drink. Mr. &  Mrs. Joseph malley thank you for the hospitality and  for raising a son with the values and courage that he has.
Thank you to my fellow Watchman for you support.
Thanks to the West Chester police & SWAT unit for their support Thank you to the West Chester Fire Co.
A Special thanks to A Heroes Welcome for greeting our Hero at the airport.
The biggest THANKS  GOES TO MEDIC / EMT JOSEPH MALLEY  FOR HIS SERVICE & DEDICATION.

Thank You all
