“Jean” is a friend of the WWR and the American Sheepdogs. This mission was requested by Jean who works for the FBI and met Rich Davis (WWR friend, member and supporter and founder of the American Sheepdogs and the Chester County Victory movement) last year in Philadelphia. Jean’s husband is “Jerry,” and he is also FBI, as well as Marine Corps Reserves. A few days ago Jean contacted Davis to say that Jerry’s unit is getting ready for their 2nd deployment to Iraq and asked, “Would you please come to his drill center and let them all see your Wall of Red, White, and Blue?”   he said yes and she had also asked for the WWR, GOE, and A Hero’s Welcome.
Wayne posted this mission on the 4th and in less than four day’s we had six pages of responses.  I talked to Jean and a very excited Rich Davis to set the plans and work around the JAG office and we were set. when I arrived at the final CVS rally point the lot was already filling up,  yet there were still some secondary rally points to arrive. When we got to the destination,  Lutz counted 100+ bikes, including the Leathernecks MC.

With the aid of the Ridley Township Police Dept. we were escorted to the Reserve Center, We lined both sides of the street with motorcycles then joined the Sheepdogs who had already set up and even recruited some young football  players to hold some signs and flags.  With the combined forces  of  the Warriors’ Watch, Sheepdogs , Namnights, Leathernecks, A Hero’s Welcome and the public who stopped to joined us  we had over 100 people out there today. While Jean took Rich and I inside to tell the Marines about our organizations and invite them back to the VFW for refreshments you were manning the line for every car that went past to see, as the honked and blew their horns the Marines could hear it inside.  As the Marines got ready to leave we gathered for a group photo and Rich led us in the National Anthem and a Prayer.  When we were done The Major came out , gave us a Salute and thanked us for what we had done for his men.  He also has asked us to escort these marines when their buses depart, more on that later. As they left they were treated to a flag line and cheers as they passed. At the VFW we able to share in a cold drink and some pizza but more important we were able to get to know these guys.  You have all made a difference in the lives of these Marines today, they won’t forget us and we won’t forget them.
Thank you all for coming out today .
