It was an Honor to stand for Robert after hearing how proud he was to serve his country.

The story he told the most was when he and a driver where returning to there area, they disagreed on which way to turn. the driver wanted to go left and Robert wanted to go right. Robert, being 1stLt, they went right. A few seconds later a shell exploded on the road to the left. Right or wrong they were both very lucky.
Mandy (Roberts granddaughter in-law) also told me when the WWR did a Welcome Home for his grandson Mike Maza, how emotional he got when Lisa gave him a WWR coin, when she heard he was a WWII vet, Robert took that coin with him.

It was a pleasure to meet the whole family, and I thank you for inviting us. Also I would like to thank the Oak Lawn P.D. for there great show of support for all our Heroes.
