EVESHAM, N.J. (CBS 3) ― Just in time for the holiday weekend, a soldier from South Jersey was welcomed back from Iraq with open arms on Wednesday.
Sgt. Brian McGory walked off an airplane at Philadelphia International Airport Wednesday morning and into a soldier’s dream come true…
The lines above are from the Channel 3 news coverage of today’s Warriors’ Watch welcome home ride from the airport to Marlton for Sgt. McGory. The ride was planned and executed by Tom and Ron, the New Jersey chapter of Warriors’ Watch. Here is the rest of the news story and the video link (In which Warriors’ Watch is prominently mentioned):

And here is Tom’s after ride report:
Ron (chopper), Gary (Cavalier), Mike (Cavaliers’ friend), Gary Coles (OrdSgt) and I met for breakfast at Browns Diner on Rt 103N . Starting out to be a good day, 5 bikes. We got to the fire house and here comes Qball and Gentle Ben. At the airport was Country and Rob. 9 bikes for a NJ Mission, inconceivable. but it did happen.
We met Brian, his wife and two daughters coming out of the terminal with a small flag line. Stay tuned for Ch 3 news cause Robin Mackintosh came out of the gate with them.
We had heard that 95 N was backed up so we took a little detour via the Passyunk Br. Where we were met on the Jersey side by a NJSP trooper for an escort all the way to Rt 70 where we picked up a Marlton/Evesham Office. (THANK YOU both) who escorted us to Brian’s Home and the awaiting Evesham Fire Department with their enormous flag.
Leslie, as usual, from the Yellow Ribbon Club, did a fantastic job putting up the Yellow Ribbons to guide us on in to the apartments.
Another soldier home. Thank you for your service.
Tom & Ron
