On Wednesday, October 15, 2008, U.S. Army Sp. Jason Kercher was welcomed home in style! A mission that started in Hazleton, PA at 3:00 PM with four bikes, multiplied ten-fold to forty bikes by its completion. Four bikes and a car left Hazleton, to the parking lot of Cabela’s Outfitters, in Hamburg PA, where we were joined by members of Soldiers’ Angels, Friends of the Forgotten, Deer Lake PA HOG chapter, and WWR. A little after 5:00 PM Spc. Jason Kercher arrined, on a motorcycle, escorted bt several family members, also on motorcycles. From Cabelo’s, the mission was to escort him to his “Welcome Home” party at the Stoney Creek Athletic Club, near Mt. Penn, PA. The question of a road captain was quickly answered…Jason led us himself! More family and friends were there at the AC to welcome him, and a true feast was prepared.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Soldiers’ Angels, for arranging this mission…to Friends of the Forgotten for bringing it to our attention, and to the Kercher family for raising a hero. We look forward to the next opportunity to work with Soldiers Angels, out of Hazleton, PA, in more Northeast PA missions!

Sincerely,
