AFTER-RIDE REPORT POSTED FOR RC IN CHARGE “ROCKY:”

Ladies and Gentlemen, I can not begin to tell you what it meant for us to be invited to attend the Deployment Ceremony today for this fine group of Americans.

We arrived early to make sure where they wanted us and what we could do. As soon as I arrived I checked in with SSG Ademi of the 33rd BSTB. I have to tell you I got goose bumps when we shook hands. We discussed a few details with Top and we were good to go. I went back out and at that time we were 4 strong and there were about 30 members of AVMRA.

But as we all know we as a group are much more involved than in most of our missions from the start. We have a few who are members of this group and the son of another member who are in this unit.

As the ceremony was ready to kick off our heroes came through the doorway, wow what a site. Step for step they were in time column right on the mark, no one missed a beat. They stood tall and proud. After they were in position the National Anthem was played.

Then the mc started things off with off with the Marching Orders, then proceeded on with speakers. After this part was over the unit was dismissed for cake and visiting with guests. It was a thrill to shake the hands of all of these men and women who serve our county.

I made sure they knew our hearts and prayers are with them every minute. And gave a few my email addy. I was told it would be used. I told them the very least we could do was let them know how they would miss the 20 belong days in IL, they gave a laugh at that one. Weather they use it or not we will be here for them.

After that we went out side and met the Chopper crew. I think we have found a new helmet that would satisfy all the needs of a biker, lol Sure would like to get a black hawk

All in all it was a good day.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve those that serve us!
