10 Bikes,  4 LEOS, 1 Limo, A soldier, his mother and his father, as well as two nieces/nephews riding in a side car, ride to the Battleship on motorcycles makes for an interesting afternoon.

Our Riders Ron, Jerry, Reds, JohnDelivers, david bradley SidecarBill, Paul Gibelyou, and Joe Meissner, and Bobcat made a leisurely ride down Admiral Wilson Blvd to the Battleship New Jersey where the gates were opened and we drove and parked right on the pier leading to the Battleship. Everyone attending this event had to walk past the bikes and limo.

Lisa Keirstein, The mother of our soldier Anthony, graciously provided every one a ticket to go on the ship and have dinner and refreshment.

I am not the orator that our Gazebo is, I nervously practiced and awaited the time for me to speak to the group. Sharon (of a Heros Welcome) was to speak after Wayne Lutz and I was going to bring her up with me, (bypass a chance to stand next to a gorgeous woman, not a chance) but just before we were to go on, The program advanced to a video then to the benediction and then retiring of the colors. They forgot about us.

Anthony, Lisa Kerstein, Mary Conboy and many other will not forget this night for a long time.

We are glad that we had the chance to bring this hero home in style.
